Compliance: consent, DNC, calling hours, and opt-outs
AI calling is regulated. These are the rails the platform enforces — but none of this is legal advice, and you should work with a TCPA attorney on your consent language and calling program.
Always on (can't be disabled)
- Consent gating — a lead with no prior-express-written-consent evidence is stored but never dialed.
- Calling hours — 8am–9pm in the lead's local time, worked out from their state. If we can't work out their time zone, they're never dialed. A few states are stricter and we follow those automatically: Florida and Oklahoma close at 8pm, and Texas runs 9am–9pm with Sunday not starting until noon.
- Suppression — anyone who opts out is suppressed immediately and permanently, checked when a lead arrives and again right before every dial. Two automatic sources: a STOP reply to one of your texts (also UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT), and opt-out language spoken during a call ("stop calling me", "take me off your list") — the AI flags it, and we also scan the transcript as a backstop in case the agent wasn't set up to flag it. Suppression covers texts and calls, across every campaign.
- Audit trail — consent evidence, scrub results, acknowledgments, and every significant action are recorded.
Your do-not-call list
Do-not-call list in the sidebar (also under Settings → Compliance & data) shows every suppressed number, why, and when. You can add a number by hand — a complaint call, a request by email — and remove one you added in error. Numbers here are never called by any campaign.
You configure
- DNC scrubbing — connect your TCPA Litigator List account and every lead is scrubbed when it arrives, then re-scrubbed before dialing if its last check is more than 31 days old. It's the one scrubbing provider connectable today; support for others is planned. Running without it is allowed, but activating a campaign then requires an explicit, recorded acknowledgment.
- Your consent language — the platform stores the evidence you send; it can't create consent that never existed. The printable requirements sheet under Settings → Integrations & API → Connect a lead source gives your lead sources the language and fields to use.
- AI disclosure — you control the script in your voice provider's agent builder; we recommend opening with a clear AI disclosure. It also performs better.
- Call frequency — retries and the double-dial option are yours to set; some states cap calls per day per person. See Campaign settings.
Consumer data requests
Open any lead and an Admin can export everything held about that person, or delete it permanently. See Getting leads in.
